It provides mixed-ability classes with clearly structured and meaningful learning situations in which they can develop their competences and English skills naturally. Flexible learning situations Throughout each learning situation, students develop a set of skills by carrying out small Project Skill tasks and a final Project Alternatives. The versatility of Project Skill tasks and Project Alternatives encourages active participation by offering both flexibility and support while assessing progress. Mediation skills Alternatives provides frequent opportunities to develop useful mediation skills through information-transfer activities and collaborative language tasks. Inclusive syllabus for mixed ability Alternatives carefully guides students step-by-step through the learning process with an inclusive approach to student diversity, providing the option of additional language work in the Optional Grammar Extension and Fast Finishers sections. Real-life competencesThrough pairwork and collaborative projects, students interact and learn practical productive skills, which will be important to them outside the English classroom.
